time ever at levi's stadium. good evening, i'm ann notarangelo. i'm ken bastida. the 49ers kick off for the first time ever at levi's stadium. good evening. we have team coverage tonight. we have a report card from 49er fans, linda? >> reporter: i think we are going to give them high marks according to the fans, the stadium is a big hit for all of the football fans, the onthing that would of made it better is the 49ers at least scoring a touchdown. >> reporter: 9ers may of lost of the game but the new stadium, a winner, hands down. >> the experience was fab hrous. the stadium was clean and tidy -- fabulous, the stadium was

clean and tidy. comparing it to candlestick, it is win, win. >> reporter: the weather? there were complaints about the 80 degree heat. still -- >> so nice not to have the double layers with you. candlestick you need the jackets and what not. today, it was lovely. >> reporter: the stadium was heaven. >> wi-fi, 4g, lte, they got it. you can order your food and tell come to you. i ordered a couple of shots, came right to me. >> reporter: the only thing that would of made it better was if the 9ers made a game of it. but the stadium, the next best thing after the super bowl win to happen to the 9ers. >> it is really easy to get in and out of the place. i wish the parking was a little more organized. >> reporter: so, the 9ers have a few bugs they have to fix but i think everyone is saying, this is the place to be.

candlestick park, well, it is a memory now. reporting live in san jose, kpix5. a little sad news to report from the game. we learned someone died at the stadium today. a man suffered a cardiac emergency and did not survive. and as to getting to and from how did it go? depended on who you asked. >> reporter: it depended if you arrived early or later. smooth sailing or chaotic. we have the story of the good, the bad, and the, never mind the score. >> reporter: levi's stadium, full of fans fans. it meant fans filled up, the golf course as red lot 6 and more than 10 offsight parking lots. this tailgater left her san francisco home at 7:30 this morning. >> i am coming off of the freeway was fine until we got

to gate 6. that is red 6 and that is when the line started. >> reporter: closer to game time it was touch and go with traffic tie ups. chris summers missed kick off by 15 minutes. >> the parking situation is absolutely terrible. we parked out on a golf course, no reason for that. >> reporter: the public transportation was a different story. a better one. >> you are on a bus. it is working out well. >> reporter: our mike sugarman rode light rail to and from the stadium. >> it is long but it is good. >> duthink it was going to be a hectic day for you. >> >> -- did you think it was going to be a hectic day for you. >> >> yes. but so far not so bad. >> reporter: not so good for those exiting the stadium by car. >> horrible. no signs, nobody knew where to go. they closed some of the routes. we were coming from the other side of the stadium. they rerouted us back over.

every fan made it inside if they were 15 minutes or late or not. and i have to say, all around it was good. one traffic app glitch. did not download. the system crashed a little bit. drivers who downloaded this app could not find where they were supposed to park. they will work out the bugs and ken came earlier saying the signs were small. he will find his glasses next time. [ laughter ] >> and julia, good for you. you out lasted the crowds and now it is smooth sailing for you to get home. >> reporter: that is right. [ laughter ] >> last reporter standing. all right, thank you very much. it seems levi's stadium is a hit with the fans but the game did not know the way the 49ers wanted. here is dennis o'donell. >> reporter: well, it was not exactly the way the 49ers wanted to christen their new stadium. the broncos got crushed in the super bowl and they seem to come here to send a message to the 49ers. here is how it came down.

all seats filled for preseason game, rare sight. going for the opening drive, [break in captioning] goes for lloyd that could not make the catch in the end zone. baughson missing the first of two field goals, this one, 55 yards, the other, 44. so, no score. now, manning, going into the 2nd quarter, finding thomas for a touchdown, broken coverage by san francisco. 10-0, denver, the 49ers commit, 4 turnovers and get shutout, 34- 0. the talk in the locker room is all about the new digs. >> beautiful, amazing. an honor to number this building, you know. when i first got here it is all candlestick. as we all know, candlestick is a little old. but, i am excited. the guys are excited. and, it is just -- it is good things ahead. good things to look forward to. >> reporter: 34-0 is the

final. on the bright side, two preseason games left to go. back to you. >> all right, dennis, thank you. >> dennis, vern, they will be along from the locker room coming up on gameday right after this newscast. and in other news, a desperate plea tonight from the family of a 2-year-old killed by a hit and run driver. the little girl was struck down friday night in downtown san francisco as she was crossing mission streets with family members. tonight, the family is begging the driver to turn himself in. we are on mission street where the family held a vigil earlier today andrea? >> reporter: that girl was leaving century theater here, crossing mission street over to the garage at 5th and mission when a driver hit her, killed her, dragged her down the street. tonight, there is a growing memorial, flowers, candles, teddy bears in that little girl's honor. >> just want justice.

that is it. justice. >> reporter: pleas on mission street from the family of the 2- year-old. >> it was a joy having her around. a beautiful baby. >> reporter: the 2-year-old was hit friday night on the cross walk between 4th and 5th by this sedan, she was dragged a short distance by the car and died. >> i know that car by heart. anybody who knows it, anybody who knows anybody with that type of car, turn them in, please. justice, please. >> reporter: the toddler's mother, rogers, sobbed as her daughter's memory grew. >> you know who this person is, you destroyed a mother, father, you destroyed sisters and brothers, you destroyed us as grandparents. why can't you not bring yourself forth and give this mom closure. let her know who did this to her child. >> reporter: few leads in the

hit and run case beyond the photo, her family is praying the suspect turns himself in. >> you don't even stop? how do you continue on? how do you get up and look at yourself in the morning and know you did this. i am sure you have seen it on the news. are you human? do you have a conscious? >> reporter: now, in just another heartbreaking detail. that little girl was with her aunt and her 2-year-old twin brother. this morning that little boy, michael, woke up and said where is mimi? back to you. >> reporter: also in. also, a wild minivan crash, the stolen minivan t-boned a taxi. the cab went on to the sidewalk and hit this guy, 29-year-old zach watson. he died at the hospital on saturday. the police say that anthony wisner stole the minivan and tried to get on a bus to escape. but they were able to arrest

him. in missouri, an autopsy shows the unarmed black teen killed by the police was shot at least six times. it comes as there is yet another night of unrest on the streets of ferguson. >> reporter: the streets of ferguson were far from quiet on the second night of an imposed curfew. hundreds turned out for a show of support for the parents of michael brown. a white police officer shot and killed the 18-year-old last weekend. brown's family is demanding justice. >> they just want what anybody else would want if their children -- child was shot down. a fair and impartial investigation. >> reporter: the unarmed teen was shot shortly after he was recorded on video committing a robbery. the police say that the officer shot brown after an altercation that left the officer injured.

witnesses say that brown's arms were up in the air when he was shot. >> you are violating the state imposed curfew. >> reporter: saturday, the governor declared a state of emergency and ordered a curfew, seven protesters were arrest early on sunday and the police used tear gas. >> reporter: president barack obama is getting regular briefings on the situation here. on monday, he will interrupt his vacation to discus the tensions between protesters and the police with advisories at the white house. >> reporter: on sunday, the attorney general ordered a federal medical examiner to perform another autopsy on michael brown. the curfew, in effect, once again, runs from midnight until 5:00 a.m. back to you. attacked at the movies. some people go to the theater and leave with bite marks all over their bodies. it seems like levi's stadium lived up to the hype. but tonight, they found one glitch that left the fans starving for more. how much warmer was levi's

nobody was hurt. southern california fast- moving wildfire in the angeles national forest forced evacuations, the fire burned about 400 acres, 5% contained. hot, dry weather is not helping the firefighters. neither is the steep and very rugged terrain. during our drought, 23 billion gallons of water is going down to the drain each year. the reason? leaking pipes. the mercury news reports bay area water agency lost 16% of their treated water due to damaged pipes. those pipes leaked enough water to meet the needs of 71,000 families for a whole year. a theater in lodi closed tonight after a rash of customers complained about this. itchy and inflamed skin. the reason? bedbugs. >> i seriously got out of my bed and took off my clothes and

looked in the mirror, panicked. >> we i have 4-month-old son, i am worried about getting bites, how much it will cost to get rid of them. >> wow. >> the guy said he tried to contact the management at the theater and when that did not work he posted a photo of his niece's bites on the theater's facebook page. a day later they put up signs alerting them that they closed for a day as they conduct a inspection. now, back to levi stadium. 49er fans today, tried a new app that let them order food ahead or get it delivered to their seats. as alan martin found out, the app has a few bugs to work out. >> reporter: the fans going wild. but the last thing the team wants is fans going hungry or thirsty. part of the app is the mobile food ordering. order and buy food by phone or tablet. but mike was not having luck. >> it says it this stand is not

taking orders. can not get the in-seat delivery to work. >> he wanted a couple hot dogs and a beer. but, another placed an order he will pick it up. they gave me a bar code and scan it and get my food. >> so, off he goes. the app gives you a choice for $5 it will be delivered to your seat or you can get it yourself. but, not necessarily at the concession stand closest to you. >> try to take me to the other side of the stadium. but, let's give it a try and see what they have. >> reporter: after a hike to the other side where the express lane is. >> a little bit of a wait. >> i think i would of rather gotten in line on the other side and maybe ordered it there. >> reporter: and the wait? well, he is not alone. >> you are in the express line. >> i am. >> it is taken? >> quite a bit of time, 15-20

the opposite, tank-top. it was 66 at candle stick, 80 degrees at levi's. without the wind, it is different. you can not see the bay bridge, foggy, cloudy, just about everywhere. monday it will start off on a cloudy note. i want to show you san jose and the south bay, up in the 70s or 80s. that is cooler than normal. average high, 83, each of the past five days in san jose, they have been below average. they have had the sunshine. take toy san jose pride. for the 39th consecutive year. the weather could not be more perfect. highs in the upper 70s, low 80s, 39 straight years celebrating that. silicone valley pride. not just san jose pride. great weather and the festival today in the the south bay. here is a look at what to expect tonight and tomorrow morning. upper 50s for you. oakland, 59, concord, 58. san skwroesa, dropping down --

san jose, dropping down. low clouds, the fog factor, a 4, sunshine in the afternoon but certainly, monday, it will start off foggy or cloudy for all of the bay area. good reason for it. high pressure, sliding away. moving over the four corners allowing something else to move in. that is an area of low pressure off of the western coastline. always treut cal where the lows go. they can turn our wind direction. this one will degree to a southwest flow. so, tomorrow, and tuesday morning, wednesday morning, it will be cloudier and cooler. because of the increase in humidity. the southwest flow. hanging out for three days, the temperatures dropping, more cloud cover, thursday, high pressure is back, we get more sunshine earlier. the temperatures climbing back up. a lot of morning cloud cover in the next couple of mornings, including tomorrow. sunny, mild, not until thursday. subtle changes, hanging out near normal. pleasant. concord, average, 87.
